Job summary

Evergreen Life Services is seeking a Quality Enhancement Specialist to support the agency’s quality practices, including outcome interviews, satisfaction surveys, and quality improvement plans. You will help develop policies, train staff, and prepare reports for continuous quality enhancement across divisions.

The role involves data collection, analysis, and collaboration with senior leadership to ensure compliance and enhance service quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Training and experience in program design, outcome measurement, and quality assurance.
  • Supervising and managing programs experience is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of person-centeredness and personal outcomes measurement is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual Outcome Interviews using the Evergreen Outcomes tool.
  • Review records, financial files, and personnel files.
  • Conduct onsite inspections of program locations.
  • Develop written reports of Outcome Interview results with strengths and recommendations.
  • Report annual trend results of external monitoring activities in each division.
  • Compile and distribute results of surveys annually.
  • Assist in developing Quality Enhancement Plans and policies; revise annually.
  • Assist in implementing each division's Quality Enhancement Plan.
  • Develop policies and procedures related to Quality Enhancement.
  • Develop training programs related to Quality Enhancement.
  • Track, trend, analyze, and report on quality measures such as medication errors and incidents.
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors on internal quality measures.
  • Participate in Evergreen's management team on agency-wide matters.
  • Provide training in quality assurance and outcomes measurement.
  • Provide assistance to divisional staff responsible for Quality Improvement activities.
  • Assist with Root Cause Analyses for events as requested.
  • May conduct billing and census reviews.
  • May conduct investigations as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Quality Enhancement Specialist reports to the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer and is responsible for assisting in implementing the agency\'s practices related to quality, including, but not limited to, Outcome Interviews, Satisfaction Surveys, Quality Enhancement Plan Development, Policy and Procedure Development, and Training.

Essential Job Functions
  • Conducts Outcome Interviews annually with a random sample of people supported and/or people who know them best in each division using the “Evergreen Outcomes for People” tool.
  • Conduct reviews of records, financial files, personnel files and other items related to service provision.
  • Conduct onsite inspections of program locations and homes.
  • Develops written reports of Outcome Interview results in each division, complete with strengths and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Reports annual trend results of external monitoring activities in each division from data tracked and analyzed.
  • Compiles and distributes results of Individual(s) Served, Parent, and Staff Engagement Surveys annually.
  • Assists in the development of Quality Enhancement Plans with each division and revises annually.
  • Assists in the implementation of each division\'s Quality Enhancement Plan.
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to Quality Enhancement.
  • Assists in the development of training programs related to Quality Enhancement.
  • Assists in the development of procedures to track, trend, analyze, and report on other measures of quality such as, but not limited to, medication errors, incident management, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations for the Board of Directors annually on internal measures of quality.
  • Participates as a member of Evergreen\'s management team in matters that affect the agency as a whole.
  • Provides training in divisions, when requested to do so, in the areas of quality assurance/improvement, person-centered planning, outcomes measurement, etc.
  • Provides technical assistance and training, when requested to do so, to divisional staff responsible for Quality Improvement activities.
  • Assist with or conduct Root Cause Analyses for events as requested.
  • May be required to conduct billing and census reviews as requested.
  • May be required to conduct investigations as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience/Job Knowledge
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field; Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Training and experience in all areas of program design and implementation, outcome measurement, and quality assurance, improvement, and enhancement.
  • Previous experience in supervising and managing programs is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of person-centeredness and personal outcomes measurement is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Constantly moves about to coordinate work.
  • Regularly works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.
  • Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.

Special Requirements
  • May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.
  • Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.
  • Must be able to prioritize work tasks.
  • Must reside in North Central Texas or anywhere within the state of Louisiana.
Skills And Abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
Employment Variables
  • Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
  • Regular local travel required for donor meetings, community engagement, and events.
Working Environment
  • Hybrid position with a combination of in-office and remote work.
  • May be required to work in a variety of settings and environments both indoors and outdoors.
