Job summary

Sapphire Technologies is seeking a hands-on Quality & Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to establish and lead the quality-management and EHS programs for a growing energy-technology business in Cypress, California. You will drive ISO 9001 certification, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years manufacturing-quality experience including quality systems and audits.
• 3+ years leading employees or cross-functional programs.
• ISO 9001 quality management system implementation or maintenance experience.
• APQP/PPAP experience including PFMEAs, control plans, MSA, CP studies, supplier submissions.
• Experience leading environmental, health and safety programs in manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, customer requirements, standards and regulatory obligations.
• Strong project-management, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Hands-on leadership in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective quality-management system aligned with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Maintain ISO 9001 certification including internal audits, management reviews, and corrective actions.
• Establish inspection and supplier-quality processes for incoming, in-process, and finished products.
• Collaborate on design reviews, production readiness, process risk assessments, and validation activities.
• Oversee APQP/PPAP programs with suppliers and monitor performance and improvements.
• Develop and continuously improve EHS programs covering environmental protection and worker safety.
• Lead hazard identifications and risk assessments including safety, ergonomics, and chemical safety.
• Establish emergency-preparedness and response programs and training records.
• Coordinate product-certification activities (UL/CE/EMC) and related audits.
