At Fiskars’ Billnäs factory in Western Uusimaa, we produce Fiskars’ well-known scissors, axes, snow tools, and forged products with around 200 employees. We are looking for a Manager, Quality, Environment, Health, & Safety (QEHS), who will provide leadership for implementing and developing QEHS standards and procedures. This role will partner with the Billnäs factory leadership on compliance, project management, reporting, and related QEHS management issues.

This position will actively participate in site leadership, focusing on planning, QEHS governance, auditing, management systems, best practice sharing, compliance initiatives, and governmental/regulatory reporting. The primary purpose is to grow the safety culture to achieve world-class QEHS performance and strategically deploy the factory's vision. The goal is to elevate safety and environmental performance to world-class levels.

Main responsibility areas
  1. Strategic goals: Develop a strategic framework for QEHS objectives aligned with group-level goals. Define factory action plans with occupational safety and health delegates and ensure their implementation.
  2. Metering and follow-up: Set, monitor, and improve the factory safety culture. Establish KPIs for QEHS and actively manage performance to meet these KPIs, including reporting safety and environmental metrics.
  3. Compliance: Ensure safety and environmental activities comply with legislative requirements and standards, including ISO and FSC regulations. Conduct ISO audits and represent the factory in QEHS systems.
  4. Working environment: Lead investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and issues. Participate in developing factory 5S and lean activities.
  5. Cooperation: Collaborate with local team leaders, production, other Fiskars sites, and the group QEHS community.
  6. Training: Develop and deliver QEHS training materials. Provide technical guidance on health, safety, and quality issues organization-wide.
Qualifications

We seek a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to QEHS development, capable of improving processes and performance. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required. Experience in an industrial environment, engineering, manufacturing, or technology development is advantageous. Project management and process design skills are relevant. Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and verbal, is essential.
