Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Associate Director to provide strategic leadership of the Quality Management System, education, competency, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement for Central Sterile Supply across the health system.

The role partners with Perioperative Services, Infection Prevention, Risk Management, and Supply Chain to implement standardized practices that ensure safe, reliable instrument processing and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required.
• 5 years of relevant experience required; 8–12 years preferred.
• Certification in Sterile Processing required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for QMS, education, competency, regulatory readiness and continuous improvement across CSS.
• Integrate QA, quality control, accreditation readiness and staff education into daily operations.
• Collaborate with Perioperative Services, Infection Prevention, Risk Management and Supply Chain to standardize practices.
• Drive enterprise quality metrics, performance indicators and ongoing education programs.
