Job summary

Wm. T. Burnett Holding, LLC in Statesville, NC is seeking a production operator to assist in setup and operation of a production line, ensuring products are made safely and meet quality and customer requirements.

You will perform quality checks, adjust processes as needed, assist with starting up equipment and basic preventive maintenance, and inspect fiber and finished products. Maintain a clean, organized work area, follow instructions and safety procedures, and report any safety or equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Basic math skills and ability to read production charts.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter production information.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and monitor the production line.
• Perform quality checks and make minor process adjustments as needed.
• Assist with starting up equipment and performing basic preventive maintenance.
• Inspect fiber and finished products for quality.
• Offload, weigh, wrap, label, and package finished products.
• Remove production waste and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production requirements.
• Properly handle and track raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Report safety or equipment concerns to the Shift Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
