Job summary

IPS Corporation is seeking a Mixing Operator for 1st shift (Monday through Thursday, 6AM to 5:30PM) in Tennessee. The role involves operating and adjusting chemical mixing equipment, weighing and blending materials, and ensuring quality and safety in batch production.

Responsibilities include receiving solvents, weighing raw materials, monitoring mixers, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and relevant experience; strong attention to safety

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports and communicate effectively.
Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and volumes; understand basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Spreadsheet, word processing, Database software, and E-mail.

Responsibilities

Receive and check all incoming solvents for purity and quality specifications.
Check raw materials for contamination, weigh and mix as specified.
Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment per procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the mixing area; changeovers between materials.
Monitor mixing conditions and adjust setup; ensure safe operation and PPE compliance.
Pump and stage batches; stage totes for production lines; report issues to supervision.
