Job summary

Chick-fil-A Twelve Oaks is hiring an experienced Cook to join our Back of House team in Novi, MI. You will cook to Chick-fil-A quality standards and set the pace in a fast-paced kitchen while upholding strict food safety and quality controls.

Pay is $19 per hour, with a shift window from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM and weekends required. Prior high-volume kitchen experience is required; ServSafe certification is encouraged. This role offers growth in a hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Prior cook or high-volume kitchen experience is required.
• Working knowledge of food safety practices and willingness to earn ServSafe certification.
• Reliable availability from 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, including Saturdays.
• Ability to stand, lift 40+ lbs, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality.
• Team-first attitude with a hospitality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Cook every product to Chick-fil-A quality and hold time standards.
• Execute breading, breakfast, grilled, and fryer stations with speed and accuracy.
• Follow food safety protocols — temperatures, glove changes, cross-contamination prevention, and cook logs.
• Complete Icon checks and product-quality verifications every shift.
• Keep stations clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
• Communicate hold times, waste, and equipment issues to the Shift Coach.
• Support opening procedures, breakfast-to-lunch transition, and mid-day resets.
• Set the pace and standard for other BOH team members.
