Job summary

Abbott Nutrition in Sturgis, MI is seeking a Documents Coordinator to manage change control and distribution of quality documents in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate with multiple departments, preserve accurate work orders, and ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies while supporting audits. This role requires a high school diploma, strong documentation skills, and familiarity with manufacturing processes; AS400 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for infant formula and nutritionals.
• Technical understanding of food manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with computers and management information systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer document change control of Work Orders, Plant Procedures, Job Aids and other QA documents.
• Meet with multiple departments to discuss work order updates.
• Assure quality documents are properly distributed and controlled internally.
• Preserve, track and maintain a system for making authorized changes to Work Orders and other quality documents.
• Comply with Federal Regulations pertaining to Low Acid Canned Foods, Infant Formula Quality Control, Acidified Foods, Nutritional Labeling Laws and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Assist QS department management during Audits.
