ABOUT

The Quality Director ensures that engineering and design processes meet the required quality standards and specifications by driving the Quality Program. Their primary focus is on maintaining and improving the quality of engineering projects and services. This position will work collaboratively with executive leadership and multi-discipline engineering teams to establish and maintain a culture of quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.

This position will focus on Quality management for three Engineering locations from Western PA to New Jersey and the candidate will need to travel between these locations.

Hybrid Work Schedule.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed to ensure alignment with industry best practices in the oil, gas, specialty chemical, steel, aluminum, power and automotive industries.
  • Ensure all department operational and project activities are completed in accordance with the Quality Management System through the implementation and enforcement of stated policies and practices.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to quality management processes, including quality plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Work closely with clients to implement tailored policies, standards, and procedures for engineering work, ensuring client satisfaction while maintaining quality.
  • Conduct regular audits of engineering processes to identify areas for improvement; develop strategies to optimize efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Oversee the investigation of customer complaints regarding quality and address the root causes of quality issues to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the oil, gas, specialty chemical, and steel industries.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within an engineering services environment with Project Management Experience being beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication skills for executive leadership and client interactions.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
