Job summary

J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is seeking a Director of Quality to lead quality strategy and continuous improvement for Reading Truck Equipment and Masterack.

This hands-on role requires close collaboration with production teams, suppliers, and customers to drive quality performance on the shop floor and in operations. You will own quality systems, inspection methods, supplier quality programs, and process capability, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while coaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years in manufacturing/production with 5+ years in quality leadership.
• Experience with supplier quality, Lean, Six Sigma, and QA systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Operations function across Reading Truck Equipment and Masterack.
• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with objectives and customer expectations.
• Maintain hands-on presence on shop floor to coach teams and resolve issues.
• Develop, maintain, and improve quality systems, inspection methods, and standards.
• Oversee supplier quality, process capability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
