Job summary

Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is seeking a Quality Coordinator/RN to lead quality improvement programs in stroke, sepsis, and cardiovascular domains.

You will guide data collection, validation, and reporting for regulatory and accreditation registries, train staff, and present findings to leaders to drive evidence-based care. The role requires a BSN (MSN preferred), Florida RN license, and 1–3 years of QA/acute-care experience; proficiency with Cerner and MS Office is

• BSN from an accredited institution required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of quality assurance in acute care.
• 1–3 years as a clinical nurse in medical-surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and oversee quality improvement programs for stroke, sepsis, and cardiovascular data and reporting.
• Provide instruction, training and education regarding the assigned programs and tracking the measures.
• Present data and provide education to patients, staff and leaders in the facility.

Alan B. Miller Medical Center

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

Quality Coordinator/RN (Full Time 40 hours a week)

Responsible for theimplementation,management,and oversightofthequalityimprovement programs for clinical focus areas of stroke, sepsis, and cardiovascular clinical data and reporting. Responsible for instruction, training and education regarding the assigned programs and tracking the measures, determining data validity and reporting the results in a format that can be reported to regulatory and accreditation registries.Responsible for ensuringknowledge of the continual readiness requirement for accreditation and regulatory surveys through data collection, rounding, and feedback to departmentsand staff.Present data and provide education and feedback to patients,staffand leaders in the facilityregardingareas of expertise.

Qualifications

Quality Coordinator/RN Job Requirements:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursingfrom an accredited educational institutionrequired. MS in nursing ormaster’sdegree in related field from an accredited educational institution preferred.

Experience:

• Minimumof1yearsofexperienceinquality assurancein an acutecare setting.
• Minimum1-3yearsas a clinical nurse in medical surgical setting
• Experienced in theuse of coremeasuresabstraction,benchmarking, spreadsheetsoftware,and databases.

Skills:

• Thorough understanding of Joint Commission standards, NPGs, state and federal standards,coremeasuresandvalue-basedstar ratings for clinical indicators.
• Knowledgeofperformance improvementmethodologiesandoutcomemanagement.
• Knowledgepeerreeviewand clinical chart reviews.
• Knowledge of healthcare facility operations, functions, and staffing requirements.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge Microsoft Office products and Cerner (preferred).

License / Certification:

• Current and unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license.
• CPHQ preferred.CPHQ must be obtained within24 monthsof hire date.
