Universal Health Services’ Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Florida seeks a Quality Coordinator/RN to implement and manage quality-improvement programs focused on stroke, sepsis and cardiovascular data.

The role requires instruction and education, data validation, and reporting to regulatory registries; you will train staff and present findings to leaders. A Florida RN license is required; CPHQ preferred with 24 months to obtain.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution is required.
• MS in nursing or related master's preferred.
• CPHQ certification preferred; must be obtained within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation, management, and oversight of the quality-improvement programs for clinical focus areas of stroke, sepsis, and cardiovascular clinical data and reporting.
• Responsible for instruction, training and education regarding the assigned programs and tracking the measures, determining data validity and reporting the results in a format that can be reported to regulatory and accreditation registries.
• Responsible for ensuring knowledge of the continual readiness requirement for accreditation and regulatory surveys through data collection, rounding, and feedback to departments and staff.
• Present data and provide education and feedback to patients, staff and leaders in the facility regarding areas of expertise.

Alan B. Miller Medical Center

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS' growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

Qualifications

Quality Coordinator/RN Job Requirements:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited educational institution required. MS in nursing or master's degree in related field from an accredited educational institution preferred.

Experience:

• Minimumof1yearsofexperienceinquality assuranceinan acutecare setting.
• Minimum1-3yearsas a clinical nurse in medical surgical setting
• Experienced in the use of core measures abstraction, benchmarking, spreadsheet software, and databases.

Skills:

• Thorough understanding of Joint Commission standards, NPGs, state and federal standards,coremeasuresandvalue-basedstar ratings for clinical indicators.
• Knowledgeofperformance improvementmethodologiesandoutcomemanagement.
• Knowledgeofpeer review and clinical chart reviews.
• Knowledgeofhealthcare facility operations, functions, and staffing requirements.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge Microsoft Office products and Cerner (preferred).

License / Certification:

• Currentand unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license.
• CPHQ preferre d. CPHQ must be obtained within 24 months of hire date.
