Job summary

Custom Profiles, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented team member to manage paperwork and organization behind the quality department. You’ll inspect on the shop floor with calipers and also maintain ISO 9001 records and inspection routines.

You’ll back up and coordinate inspections, log non-conforming material, and ensure documentation is accurate and ready for internal audits, with a focus on accuracy and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and comfort working on a computer with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage documentation and records effectively and follow established procedures.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with inspection or quality background preferred.

• Log non-conforming material and keep calibration records current.
• Ensure inspection paperwork is accurate and complete.
• Maintain and manage ISO 9001 documents and records; assist with internal audits and corrective actions.
• Assist with recordkeeping for safety and environmental compliance: OSHA logs, training records, and environmental paperwork.
• Maintain sign-off records for operator training to show line personnel are trained.
• Support operations with a strong emphasis on organization, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented person to manage the paperwork and organization behind our quality department. The role is a step up from a shop floor inspector: you’ll still be on the floor with calipers, but you’ll also keep our quality records, ISO system, and inspection routine organized and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Run and back up inspections: incoming resin and material, in-process dimensional and profile checks, and final inspection.
• Serve as the point person for the two floor inspectors: maintain the schedule, and perform gauge checks yourself.
• Log non-conforming material and keep calibration records current.
• Ensure inspection paperwork is accurate and complete.
• Maintain and manage ISO 9001 documents and records, help schedule and run internal audits, track corrective actions to closure, and prepare for external audits.
• Assist with recordkeeping for safety and environmental compliance: OSHA logs, training records, and environmental paperwork.
• Maintain sign-off records for operator training to demonstrate each person on a line is trained.
• Support operations with a strong emphasis on organization, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Some inspection or quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working on a computer with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage documentation and records effectively and follow established procedures.
• Extrusion or molding experience is a plus.
