Job summary

Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking a QMS Coordinator to implement applicable quality standards and build a robust Quality Management System. This role drives continual improvement and engages teams to uphold safety and quality in a fast-paced plant environment.

The qualified candidate will lead training, audits, and collaboration with management on quality issues while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Quality System(s) (e.g., ISO 9001 or other comparable standards).
• Experience with electronic Management Systems/Databases/Data Analytics.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a manufacturing/production process or quality related field
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, Nucor Steel Brandenburg will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Implement the requirements of the applicable Quality Standards and develop and maintain the QMS.
• Act as a change agent and foster continual improvement for the QMS.
• Provide training, deliver presentations, and interact with teammates and management on quality issues.
• Conduct internal audits, audits at other Nucor divisions and suppliers, and handle customer issues.
• Perform other duties and continue training as required.

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the QMS Coordinator is to implement the requirements of the applicable Quality Standards and develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS Coordinator is a change agent and fosters continual improvement for the overall improvement of the QMS. This position also involves training, conducting presentations, interacting with teammates and management on quality issues, auditing internally, at other Nucor divisions and suppliers, as well as handling customer issues. Other duties and continued training as required.

The qualified candidate is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Safety, quality, and integrity are integral to the QMS Coordinator position. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with Quality System(s) (e.g., ISO 9001 or other comparable standards)

Experience with electronic Management Systems/Databases/Data Analytics

Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience

Experience in a manufacturing/production process or quality related field
