Job summary

Nucor is seeking a Quality Supervisor to drive and sustain quality and customer-focused certifications across the facility. You will collaborate with Sales and Operations to meet customer needs and lead audits and training to elevate standards.

Safety is emphasized; you will initiate and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping as a daily priority while guiding process groups at all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• Ability to qualify welding procedure specifications.
• Perform internal audits and ensure compliance to AISC and AMPP QP3 standards.
• Maintain calibration for measuring/inspection equipment.
• Read and understand blueprints and project specifications.
• CWI certification.

Responsibilities

• Quality Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all quality and customer-related certifications.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to address customer specific requirements and product needs.
• Drive quality improvement throughout the facility as well as coordinate and conduct audits and applicable training.
• Lead process groups and work with all levels of the organization.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Competence in reading and understanding blueprints and job/project specifications.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturing industry experience
• Previous Supervisory Experience
