Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify quality standards are met.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports, summaries, and logs, and communicate findings to relevant departments.
  • Identify and isolate defective products or materials, and coordinate with production teams to address quality issues promptly.
  • Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and protocols to improve inspection accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate quality problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to verify adherence to quality management systems.

Quality Controller

About the Role:

The Quality Controller plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching customers. This position involves systematically inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The Quality Controller collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and efficiency. By maintaining detailed records and reports, this role supports regulatory compliance and internal quality assurance processes. Ultimately, the Quality Controller helps safeguard the company’s reputation by delivering products that consistently satisfy customer expectations and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards such as ISO 9001 or similar frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and testing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and/or statistical process control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and quality-related documentation.
  • Experience using measuring, inspection, and data-tracking tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, components, and finished-product inspection.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of up to 10 hours.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements while inspecting products.
  • Ability to lift, move, position, turn, and otherwise manipulate mattresses and mattress components as required to perform quality inspections.
  • Ability to safely perform physical inspection activities throughout the production floor.
