Job summary

System One is hiring a Quality Control Inspector/Welding Specialist for a contract-to-hire role in Currie, NC. The position is onsite with a $18-$25/hr DOE pay range.

You will monitor quality of incoming and outgoing products, read blueprints, perform leak tests, and verify welds to client specifications. Responsibilities include material movement, audits support, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Reliable with good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to measure dimensions and verify product quality.
• Experience with leak tests and quality inspections preferred.
• Welding knowledge preferred.
• Must have a Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pre-employment physical/drug screen, background check, and E-Verify.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials, ensuring specifications and standards are met.
• Assist with moving materials throughout the shop and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand product requirements.
• Measure dimensions, examine functionality, and compare final products to specifications.
• Resolve quality-related issues promptly and participate in problem solving.
• Verify container parts and dimensions match drawings within tolerances.
• Perform leak tests and other quality tests per client procedures.
• Inspect appearance and workmanship of units post-painting for proper finish.
• Verify welds meet client codes and procedures.
• Support audits and coordinate with internal and external customers.
• Follow safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and wear PPE as required.
• Complete forklift certification as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts and hours as assigned.
