Job summary

A leading manufacturer in thermoplastic components located in Bristol, Rhode Island is seeking a Quality Control Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming vision measuring systems, performing quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with specifications. A high school diploma and 2+ years in a Quality Control environment are required. Competitive salaries and generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing Quality Control environment.
  • Familiarity with using and programming of vision measuring systems.
  • Experience with manual micrometers, calipers and optical comparators.
  • Engineering blueprint reading.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize information.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Program vision measuring systems.
  • Perform inspections across various stages of production.
  • Investigate product quality issues and determine root cause.
  • Perform first piece inspection and final inspection
  • Assist with both internal and external audits
  • Work with Engineering and Production to address any product issues
  • Conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner and follow Tri-Mack Values: Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability and Durability
  • Adhere to all AS9100 requirements as specified in work instructions and by your supervisor
  • All other duties assigned.

Quality Control Technician / Vision Measuring System Programmer

Located in Bristol, Rhode Island for 50 years, Tri-Mack is a leading manufacturer of high-temperature thermoplastic components for the aerospace-defense, semiconductor, energy and medical industries.

The Quality Control Technician / Vision System Programmer is responsible for the programming of vision measuring systems, developing quality control plans and inspection records for precision machined and assembled parts. It requires good working knowledge of standard precision measurement tools such as micrometer, calipers, height gages, and optical comparator, as well as familiarity with the vision system inspection of parts in order to verify conformance to specifications. The role is to detect and contain quality issues in order to ensure compliance or report non-conforming parts/procedures, as well as to correct and prevent them.

Education, Skills & Experience
  • High School diploma required. Some college-level coursework preferred.
