Position: Quality Control Technician - Venice, FL

• Experience testing concrete is preferred but training is available.
• Must possess ACI Field Testing Grade I certification.
• Responsibilities include testing plastic and hardened concrete, as well as raw materials used in concrete production.
• Experience testing gradation, specific gravity, and absorption of aggregates per ASTM standards is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, company policies, and promote a safe work environment.
• Communicate concrete mix adherence to specifications with senior staff to determine necessary adjustments.
• Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants and perform various field tests.
• Process samples with testing equipment and record data accurately.
• Conduct research and development on new materials.
• Obtain and maintain necessary ACI certifications in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with plant staff and management.
• Work nights and weekends as needed, perform maintenance duties, and follow safety procedures.
• Travel within the geographic region to multiple construction sites.

Qualifications & Education

• High School diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Chemistry background or experience is a plus.
• Strong record-keeping, basic computer, and Excel skills.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and communicate effectively in English and Metric units.
• Clean driving record; 1 year of construction industry experience preferred.

Work Requirements

• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, background check, and driving record review.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Commitment to safety, regular attendance, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and use basic power tools.
