Job summary

SteelFab West in Spokane, WA is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a dynamic team producing steel structures. You will inspect products, coordinate QC inspections, and ensure conformance with drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, using the scan system for QC, and collaborating with Supervisors and QC personnel to meet production needs. The swing shift runs 3:30pm–2:00am, with hourly pay of $24.00–$34.00.

• Open to pursuing AWS Certified Welding Inspector – preferred.
• Willing to work toward UT and MT qualifications.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Background screening including prior employment, education, criminal history and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner according to SFOR safety policies.
• Use the time clock system to track job and project hours.
• Perform accurate quality checks of all products and materials during production and prior to shipping.
• Coordinate QC inspections with the Supervisor to ensure production needs and dates are met.
• Work with Supervisors and QC personnel to ensure product meets requirements.
• Perform inspections in varied conditions (cold, heat, rain) both indoors and outdoors.
• Coordinate with Supervisor to resolve issues and stop work if QC issues are found.
• Use computerized scan system for QC of parts.
• Review drawings and procedures as directed by the QC Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
