Job summary

Southland Steel Fabricators in Greensburg, LA is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. You will read blueprints and welding symbols, inspect materials and finished products for quality, perform measurements, and maintain quality records.

Starting pay is $25/hr for a full-time, non-exempt role. Ideal candidates have experience in heavy structural fabrication, strong attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication to coordinate with supervisors and shop

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and welding symbols.
• Maintains quality records and performs measurements.
• Strong attention to detail in inspection tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication with team.
• Experience in heavy structural fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials, components, and finished products for quality and compliance
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Perform measurements using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions
• Communicate production concerns to supervisors and team members
