Zusammenfassung

SteelFab West in Spokane, WA is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a dynamic team producing steel structures. You will inspect products, coordinate QC inspections, and ensure conformance with drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, using the scan system for QC, and collaborating with Supervisors and QC personnel to meet production needs. The swing shift runs 3:30pm–2:00am, with hourly pay of $24.00–$34.00.

• Review drawings and procedures as directed by the QC Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

Work in a safe manner according to SFOR safety policies.

Coordinate QC inspections with the Supervisor to ensure production needs and dates are met.

Work with the Supervisors, and QC personnel as a team to ensure product meets requirements.

Perform inspections that may need be done in cold, heat or rain, both indoors and outdoors.

Coordinate with Supervisor and shop management to resolve issues and ensure work is completed to meet and exceed the quality requirements. Coordinate with Supervisor and shop personnel to stop work on projects should QC issues be discovered.

Technician will be required to use the computerized scan system for QC of parts.

Understand, comply with, and be able to communicate SFOR SteelFab procedures and directives.

Review Drawings and Procedures as directed by the QC Supervisor.

Other duties as assigned.

• Computer skills to open and read drawings, read and modify spreadsheets, operate standard Microsoft programs.
• Ability to understand and retain training on codes, specifications. Interest in expanding code knowledge.
• Open to opportunities to pursue becoming an AWS Certified Welding Inspector – preferred.
• Must be willing to work toward UT and MT qualifications.
• Clean pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Clean background screening that includes previous employment, education, criminal history and driving record verification.
