Job summary

Solomon Page is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our client in Oxford, NC. This onsite, full-time role operates on the 1st shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

You will perform organoleptic evaluation of materials and products, color matching, enter data into SAP, and ensure adherence to GMP and safety requirements. A science or technical degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Must have strong math and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Aptitude for color and organoleptic evaluation.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science/technical field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

  • Organoleptic evaluation of raw materials and products following SPI and Revlon specs.
  • Shade disposition and color adjustments based on standard comparisons; evaluate pigment dispersion.
  • Maintain production shade evaluation standards; enter evaluations and test results in SAP; ship samples to R&D.
  • Use and calibration of instruments (Horiba, Automatic Muller, Hegman Scale, Powder Press, water bath).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job description

Our client, a personal care manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their team! This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office. This role will be 1st Shift, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM.

  • Full-Time role
  • Pay: $45k-$55K
Responsibilities
  • Organoleptic evaluation of raw materials and shade matching/evaluation of bulk product, finish product and purchased products in accordance with department procedures and Revlon specifications.
  • Provide shade disposition and color adjustments based on color comparison to bulk standards in accordance with Standard Process Instructions (SPI). Evaluate pigment dispersion in bulk batches and provide remedial in accordance with Standard Process Instructions (SPI).
  • Maintain production standards used for shade evaluation. Enter evaluation, test results and final disposition in SAP. Ships samples of first, second and third production batches to R&D and Product Development. Use, care and calibration of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to Horbia, Automatic Muller, Hegman Scale, Powder Press and water bath. Works independently with little supervision. Follows Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
