Job summary

Revlon in Oxford, NC is seeking a Quality Control Technician (Raw Materials) for an onsite, full-time role. You will sampling, inspecting, testing and final disposition of raw materials and finished goods per department procedures.

You will use organoleptic and chemical testing, enter results in SAP, support training, and coordinate with Bulk Planning/Manufacturing/Receiving. The role requires flexibility with shifts and weekend work as needed; base pay range $45,000–$55,000 plus incentives and

This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office.

This position is responsible for sampling, inspecting, testing and final disposition of components and finished goods in accordance with department procedures and Revlon specifications. Use statistical sampling plans, measurement tests and developed organoleptic skills in evaluation of products. Assists with training new employees.

The QC Department supports an active manufacturing facility. Materials are evaluated and inspected in the QC Laboratory and in Manufacturing. Sampling is performed in other areas within the facility.

This position is required to be adaptable to working different shifts and Saturday/Sunday based on business demands and PTO schedules

Specific Duties

• Organoleptic evaluation, shade evaluation and physical testing, chemical testing of raw materials, in accordance with department procedures and Revlon specifications.
• Sample raw materials in accordance with procedures and Revlon specifications.
• Use, care, calibration of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to Karl Fischer, pH meter and IR.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Generate approval/reject tags for raw materials.
• Enters evaluation, test results and final disposition in SAP for raw materials.
• Interface with Bulk Planning/Manufacturing/Receiving to coordinate the sampling, testing and dispositioning of raw materials.
• Works independently with little supervision.
• Follows Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 25 pounds as an essential function of the role.

• College degree in a science, technical or related business discipline preferred. In lieu of a degree, relevant experience may substitute for degree.

The base pay range for this position is $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 / year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled).
