Job summary

Shea Concrete is seeking a QC Technician with precast concrete experience for our Amesbury, MA plant. The role focuses on performing concrete field tests and executing quality control procedures to ensure product integrity in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have ACI field-testing knowledge (Grade 1 preferred) and NPCA PQS training, with strong communication and blueprint-reading skills. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• ACI Field-Testing Grade 1 Certification preferred
• NPCA PQS Training preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age per federal guidelines
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written to all levels of staff
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches

Responsibilities

• Perform ACI concrete field tests and ensure compliance with QC procedures.
• Conduct quality control inspections in the production plant.
• Inspect precast products after removal from forms (Post-Pour).
• Notify Production Supervisor of deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist with repairs on products and stay updated on precast plant techniques.
