Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies, is seeking a Quality Control Technician at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The technician tests materials and assists in maintaining or modifying aggregate gradations to meet customer demands, using moderately complex testing methods and equipment.

Pay and Schedule

Pay: $23-24 per hour

Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday (Occasional nights and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record keeping
• Perform routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures, and picking deleterious materials)
• Determine appropriate handling procedures and sampling techniques for specific applications
• Perform moderately complex testing procedures such as determining specific gravity, unit weight, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Enter data and generate reports from the aggregate quality reporting system
• Meet internal and external customer service expectations

Skills and Qualifications
