Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Tennessee is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain production quality across the concrete process. You will perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections, test materials, and lead corrective actions with plant engineers, production, and sales teams.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, have quality control experience, and AACI certification or commitment to pass the Concrete Field Testing within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Quality control experience in related industry preferred
• ACI Certification preferred, or required to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification
• Must be able to get any required certifications within 1 year
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to grow into a leadership role
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Pour inspections on product prior to pouring (Reinforcing, insert and hole locations, etc)
• Perform Post-Pour inspections on product ensuring it is ready for the customer
• Represent the customer inside our factory
• Test Concrete and raw materials as needed
• Lead QC meetings and follow up on Corrective Actions
• Coordinate with production on all schedule changes and errors
• Assist in conducting QA Audits
• Train plant employees on concrete technology and QC requirements
