Capitol Aggregates, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to assist with routine testing of aggregates, bituminous mixtures, and concrete. You will operate specialized testing equipment and ensure accurate documentation and adherence to quality standards across plant operations.

The role requires basic analytical and troubleshooting skills, understanding of statistics and sampling, a valid driver’s license for travel between plant locations, and a commitment to safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have basic analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of statistical concepts and the theory and practice of random sampling.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine material testing including gradation, material properties, weights, moisture, and other required quality tests.
• Review test results for completeness and accuracy and report findings to plant personnel and the Quality Control Manager.
• Review testing procedures to ensure proper data utilization and unbiased evaluation of observed conditions.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas including tools, vehicles, and plant laboratories.
• Drive company vehicles between plant locations to perform testing and sampling activities.
• Complete required area audits.
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
• Abide by and support all company and plant safety policies, rules, and MSHA regulations.
