Job summary

Villari Foods in Warsaw, NC is seeking a Quality Control Technician to help ensure products meet HACCP and QA standards in a high-volume meat processing environment. You will conduct temperature checks, label verification, and monthly internal audits, while training new employees and maintaining safe GMP practices.

You must have a GED or high school diploma, at least one year in a related field, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• GED or High school diploma required.
• 1-year experience in related field preferred.
• Excellent HACCP and regulatory skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• Reading and writing in English required.
• Familiarity with MS Office, AS400, Lotus Notes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Slaughter and animal humane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HACCP CCPs are verified and documented per guidelines.
• Conduct quality audits on temperatures, labels, metal detection, packaging, weights.
• Adhere to product specs during harvesting and finished products.
• Ensure proper segregation during special claims handling.
• Follow GMPs and SSOP guidelines; assist SQF audits.
• Communicate quality and facility issues to QC Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe work environment and assist as needed.
