Job summary

PDS Optical is hiring a Quality Control Technician for the 2nd shift in Louisville, KY. This entry-level role checks eyeglasses, inserts lenses, and ensures cosmetic quality before shipping. Training is provided; no experience required, though optical knowledge helps.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• Optical or production experience is helpful but not required.
• No prior experience required for applicants with the right attitude.

Responsibilities

• Know the order of production and ensure priority jobs run first.
• Insert lenses into metal and plastic frames correctly.
• Perform four-point frame adjustments.
• Check temple length and attach or exchange temples as needed.
• Inspect lenses for size/defects and forward to supervisor.
• Align lenses and check for obvious defects.
• Keep the work area clean and free of unrelated items.
• Clean and straighten the work area at shift end.
