Quality Control Technician - Erlanger, KY

Job Summary:

This position will provide support for the Erlanger Operations and Inventory groups by completing laboratory analysis. The occupant of this role will complete routine testing, ensure data integrity, and promote a safe laboratory environment. The occupant of this role will report to the local QC manager and support senior laboratory colleagues.

Primary Job Functions:

1. Conduct routine QC testing which includes analysis of raw materials, intermediate batches, and finished products.
2. Maintain appropriate data integrity while conducting testing.
3. Participate in investigations for any out of specification results and report findings to local QC manager or Senior QC members.
4. Follow best practices, established by the company and regulating bodies, for transcription of data.
5. Uphold a clean area of work and a well-organized space for samples.
6. Participate in necessary training sessions to ensure consistency of testing.
7. Fulfill common laboratory cleaning practices to ensure the laboratory environment does not negatively impact testing.
8. Identify issues with methodology and support investigations into testing accuracy.
9. Communicate failures as necessary to ensure supply chain is aware of any possible delays.
10. Perform sensory assessments in line with ADM practices.
11. Transcribe data from vendor documents and organize said documents according to local policy.
12. Assist Quality Assurance technicians with investigations if additional data or information is necessary for research on out of specification batches.
13. Represent the quality labs in a professional manner to external and internal parties.
14. Bring new ideas and improvements to quality protocols and procedures.
15. Follow Basic GMP and GLP safety standards.
16. Maintain proper storage and organization of retains for future assessment.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Associate’s degree in food science, biology, or related laboratory-based field.
2. Preferred experience with organoleptic testing.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality requirements.
5. Willingness to innovate and adapt best practices.
6. Ability to encourage trust between Operations, Development, Supply Chain and Quality departments.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$32,500.00 - $59,000.00
