Job Overview

County Prestress & Precast, LLC manufactures resilient concrete solutions for infrastructure, multifamily housing, and large-scale commercial projects. We seek a dedicated Quality Control Technician in Lockport, IL.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during product manufacturing.
• Inspect materials, parts, and products at various production stages.
• Record observations and recommend process improvements.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the concrete industry.
• Observe production processes, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
• Maintain a safe workplace through effective housekeeping.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Work near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
• Operate in noisy environments.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of 10-40 pounds.
• Occasional lifting over 40 pounds.
• Standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching.

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing environments.
• Experience with concrete plants or quality control preferred.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to train and obtain technical certifications.

• 1-2 years manufacturing experience; construction or building materials experience preferred.
• Certifications like PCI Level I/II, ACI Level I, DOT, or CAD experience are a plus but not required.
