Job summary

CRH's Oldcastle Infrastructure division is seeking a QC Technician in Lexington, KY. The role focuses on maintaining quality product daily by inspecting and testing during production, partnering with plant engineers, sales and production to ensure customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities include pre-pour and post-pour inspections, testing concrete and raw materials, coordinating with production on schedule changes, organizing documentation, and training staff on QC requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Quality control experience in related industry preferred
• ACICertification preferred, or required to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification
• Must be able to get any required certifications within 1 year
• Basic computer skills
• Abilityto grow into a leadership role
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Pour inspections on product prior to pouring (Reinforcing, insert and hole locations, etc)
• Perform Post-Pour inspections on product ensuring it is ready for the customer
• Represent the customer inside our factory
• Test Concrete and raw materials as needed
• Lead QC meetings and follow up on Corrective Actions
• Organize all documentation
• Coordinate with production on all schedule changes and errors
• Assist in conducting QA Audits
• Train plant employees on concrete technology and QC requirements
