Job summary

County Materials in Holmen, WI is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure our concrete products meet regulatory and company standards through inspections, tests, and measurements across production.

The role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work with production teams to resolve quality issues. This position is based in Holmen, with typical Monday–Friday hours and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
• Concrete plant and/or quality control experience highly desired.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
• Solid math aptitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Preferred PCI Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications as directed by leadership.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during production of materials and products.
• Inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
• Record observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry.
• Regularly observe the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product.
• Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
• Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
