Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas, Inc. is seeking a quality-focused technician to support resin, milling, and paint production with an emphasis on QA testing and process improvement.

You will perform incoming, in-process, and final product testing to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements, while utilizing SAP QA modules and lab equipment. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemistry or 2 years of equivalent experience required.
• Experience with ISO Quality systems preferred.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect raw materials to ensure company specifications are met.
• Perform testing following test methods on finished goods samples: wet QC testing and final dirt checks.
• Provide in-process support to QC Correction Specialists for investigation and correction of abnormal batches.
• Identify off quality product during QC process and work through the abnormal process to correct.
• Coordinate containment of suspect product.
• Verify QC packages meet customer requirements and release to shipping.
• Maintain the retain storage area and manage lab supplies.
• Utilize SAP Quality modules for testing and data reporting.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes and methods.
