Job summary

Qualifications

• Three to five years of CMM programming experience required.
• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring equipment.
• Read complex blueprints, schematics, and inspection specifications.
• Experience with Mitutoyo CMMs and MCOSMOS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, edit, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Inspect tools, gauges, fixtures, machined parts, and finished products.
• Perform first-article, production, receiving, and reworked-part inspections.
• Verify parts using blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Perform surface-plate measurements using hand gauges and layout fixtures.
• Create or modify inspection methods and gauging systems.
• Record inspection data and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot inspection and testing equipment.
• Assist engineering with CMM programming and program changes.
• Train team members on inspection methods, equipment programming, and quality standards.
