Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is hiring a Quality Control Technician to join our civil construction team. You will test asphalt, aggregates, and recycled materials in a lab, and help ensure pavement quality meets project specs.

The role requires lab testing, precise record keeping, and safe operation of lab equipment. We value accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a hands-on field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Basic math skills and general science knowledge.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work long shifts and flexible hours.
• Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Able to walk distances and lift 50+ lbs as needed.
• Willing to wear required safety gear (PPE).
• Must pass a drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Test asphalt, aggregate, and recycled materials in a lab
• Prepare and test pavement samples
• Keep clear and accurate records of test results
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
• Help create asphalt mix formulas and quality control plans
• Work with plant operators and TDOT to ensure quality standards are met
• Other duties as assigned
