Job summary

Knife River Montana is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Missoula team. The role focuses on testing aggregate, asphalt, and concrete materials and documenting results in a timely manner.

The position requires WAQTC Aggregate/Asphalt and ACI Concrete testing certifications or ability to obtain them, basic math and computer skills, and a valid driver's license. You may work up to seven days a week and travel for short periods as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic mathematics, percentages, and calculations related to material properties.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform standardized testing on aggregate, asphalt, and concrete materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and applicable state DOT procedures.
• Accurately document, log, and report all test results in a timely and organized manner.
• Communicate test results and quality control observations clearly to supervisors, project managers, and production team.
• Maintain testing equipment and tools, including calibration checks and recordkeeping.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
• Represent Knife River in a professional manner and interact with team members, customers, and inspectors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
