  • Assist with laboratory compliance, audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs.

P&K Stone | Full-Time | Quarry Operations

P&K Stone is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform aggregate testing, collect field samples, analyze results, and help ensure our products meet quality specifications and industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to work both in the laboratory and in the field while supporting daily quarry operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect representative samples from stockpiles, conveyor systems, and production areas.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
  • Accurately record and report test results using spreadsheets and digital systems.
  • Monitor product quality trends and communicate findings to production teams.
  • Assist with laboratory compliance, audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Qualifications
  • Experience in aggregate, construction materials, mining, quarry operations, or a related industry required.
  • Knowledge of aggregate testing procedures, including gradation analysis, moisture content testing, and other quality control processes.
  • Ability to collect representative samples from stockpiles, conveyor systems, and production areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment and follow testing procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and sampling in active quarry environments.
