Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Quality Control Technician I for the 2nd shift in Chagrin Falls, OH. You will conduct testing of samples to ensure batches meet quality specs, sample and test incoming materials, and assist with troubleshooting to resolve issues. Lab safety and precise record-keeping are essential.

The role involves performing viscosity/density/gel-time tests and supporting production and R&D as needed, with a shift 2:30pm–11pm, Monday–Friday and overtime in peak season.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year lab experience or chemistry lab education.
Able to perform basic math and maintain records.

Responsibilities

Test finished goods and in-process samples for quality specs.
Determine corrections for out-of-spec materials and direct production.
Maintain lab safety, practices and documentation.
Test parameters include viscosities, densities, gel times.
Prepare samples for advanced testing (peel, shear).
Maintain daily quality logs and sample retention.
Support production testing and R&D as needed.
Ensure lab equipment calibration and reporting.
