Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark, CA, is seeking a Quality Control Technician - Second Shift to verify products and processes against requirements and document findings.

You will inspect components, use calipers, micrometers, CMM, and PC-DIMS software; read GD&T; collaborate with teams. A high school diploma and 5+ years aerospace/defense inspection experience are required; Six Sigma Green Belt or CQE/CQM is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with 5+ years of inspection experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience inspecting mechanical components and familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ISO/AS procedures, and industry standards; ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of components and assemblies at receiving, in-process, and final stages.
• Enter data for inspected items and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Collaborate within a team to achieve department goals.

EBAD seeks a Quality Control Technician - Second Shift in Moorpark, California Facility.

Responsibilities:

This position supports multiple Product Families. The candidate will be responsible for providing effective verification of products and/or processes against requirements and dissemination of findings thereof.

• Perform inspection of components and assemblies not limited to receiving, in-process and final Inspections
• Complete all required data entries for inspected items
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows all established safety guidelines
• Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
• Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and5+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company.

Required experience includes:

• Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM Programingand optical systems.
• Must be capable of programming CMM, utilizing PCDIMS software
• Have a basic knowledge of ISO/AS procedures
• Good knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)
• Must be able to read and understand industry standards
• Must be able to read and understand English
• Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management
• Meticulous with high attention to detail
• Must have basic PC fundamentals

Desired skills:

Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ, CQE/CQM Certification program is a plus. Significant experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
