Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure aerospace textile products meet strict customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. You will perform fabric tests, inspections, calibration, and documentation with a strong focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include reviewing loom data, maintaining nonconformance logs, calibrating tools, and supporting NPI with FAIRs, while ensuring training and compliance records are up-to-date.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing (aerospace or textiles preferred).
• Familiarity with AS9100/AS9102 standards is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Syteline or similar).
• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient with inspection tools and measurement equipment.

• Perform daily fabric testing (e.g., punch testing) and record results in ERP system (Syteline).
• Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished goods.
• Review loom inspection data and defects.
• Verify job setups and approve production readiness.
• Maintain nonconformance logs and control nonconforming materials.
• Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping in compliance with quality standards.
• Perform in-house calibration of inspection tools and maintain calibration records.
• Coordinate external calibrations and support out-of-tolerance investigations.
• Conduct internal audits (workstation, FOD) and issue corrective actions (CARs).
• Review shipping documentation for accuracy and traceability.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and compile First Article inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Verify employee training and maintain compliance records.

This role supports inspection, testing, calibration, and documentation processes for high-performance fabrics, seals, and preforms, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance (e.g., AS9100), and continuous improvement.

Shift: Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily fabric testing (e.g., punch testing) and record results in ERP system (Syteline)
• Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished goods
• Review and digitally track loom inspection data and defects
• Verify job setups and approve production readiness
• Maintain nonconformance logs and control nonconforming materials
• Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping in compliance with quality standards
• Perform in-house calibration of inspection tools and maintain calibration records
• Coordinate external calibrations and support out-of-tolerance investigations
