Join to apply for the Quality Control Technician role at PPG.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will work onsite in our Springdale, PA plant. Your responsibilities include testing raw material and finished good properties of samples in the QC Lab. You will report property testing results to production and customers, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

You will report to the Manager of Quality Services & Manufacturing Support. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample testing, e.g., viscosity, pH, density, and determining adjustments
2. Communicating adjustments and results to other departments
3. Reducing batch samples for spray-outs
4. Hand spray panels for defect analysis
5. Performing low-level analytical testing of intermediates
6. Checking the calibration of equipment
7. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
8. Following all procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent skills
• Two (2) years of Quality Control experience in a chemical or coatings manufacturing environment
• Basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles; college chemistry and math are desired
