A leading company seeks a Quality Technician to work in an ISO9001:2015 Certified Quality Control Lab. Responsibilities include conducting chemical titrations and physical analyses to evaluate materials, ensuring they meet established specifications. Applicants should have a relevant science degree and strong analytical skills, and be prepared to work with a dedicated team in a quality-focused environment.
As a Quality Technician, you will work in a ISO9001:2015 Certified Quality Control Lab and will run different chemical titrations and physical analysis tests to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods to ensure the test results comply with established specifications. You will function with production personnel and technical personnel to follow standard operating procedures and testing.

Key Responsibilities
Use instruments such as NIR, GC, FTIR, UV/Vis Spectrometer and Titrators to measure the quality of raw materials and finished goods.
Running analytical tests to determine Hydroxyl Value (OH), NCO, Epoxy, % Water, % solvent, solids, particle size, density, color, and physical appearance to confirm finished goods are being manufactured correctly and within specifications.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on test results that are out of specification.
Enter test results in a computer database and being able to analyze the results to help improve quality and reduce cycle time.
Work in a team environment with other Quality Technicians and work with PPG's Operations team, Technical team and external customers to improve the manufacturing process.
Participate in internal and external audits of PPG's Quality Management System.
Qualifications
2 year Technical degree of a 4 year Bachelor's degree in a Science such as Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology.
Wear required PPE with, or without reasonable accommodation.
Shifts: 75% Daylight and 25% Midnight/Afternoon
