Job summary

Everkem is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Winston-Salem, NC to support our Quality and Lab Department. This hands-on role ensures products are consistent, safe, and meet our standards.

Daily tasks include inspecting materials and products, measuring dimensions, completing QC checklists, labeling and storing samples, and maintaining lab organization to provide accurate data for production decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (or actively pursuing a degree).
  • Prior manufacturing or quality-focused experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and adaptability to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable following step-by-step instructions and using basic measuring tools.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Position Details

Everkem is seeking a motivated Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) with some manufacturing experience to support our Quality and Lab Department. This hands‑on role ensures the products we make are consistent, safe, and meet our standards.

You’ll inspect materials and products throughout the production process, identify issues early, and partner with the Production team to resolve them before they become bigger problems. Daily tasks include checking samples, measuring products, completing QC checklists, and keeping the lab organized so we always have accurate, reliable information.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily checks of materials and products at the start, during, and end of production to ensure all items meet quality standards.

Measure and inspect products to verify size, appearance, and performance requirements.

Document findings, report variances, and assist with corrective action efforts.

Label, organize, and store product samples to maintain accurate tracking of batches

Manage retained samples, ensuring proper storage, organization, and labeling.

Assist with lab equipment maintenance and general lab organization.

Support product testing to uphold quality standards.

Communicate clearly with the Production team if issues arise so corrective actions can be taken quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality-focused environment is a plus

Ability to take and give direction while working autonomously.

Ability to stay organized and adapt to changing priorities.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (or actively pursuing a degree).

Physical Demands:

Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
