The Team

Encore Fleet Services (an Encore company) is the powerhouse behind the flawless operation of our luxury coach fleet. With a focus on excellence and precision, our team ensures that every coach in our lineup meets the highest standards of performance and luxury and reliability. We handle everything from thorough maintenance to meticulous cleaning and comprehensive refurbishments, preparing each coach for seamless service. Our commitment to "Delivering a Premium" is evident in the impeccable condition of our fleet and the unmatched reliability we provide to every client. At Encore Fleet Services, you'll join a dedicated team that values hard work and attention to detail. This is a place where your skills will contribute directly to our reputation as North America’s leader in luxury coach travel. Embrace the opportunity to grow with us and help maintain the standard of luxury and World Class Service that Encore is known for.

Your Role

As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting entertainer coaches before and after every tour to ensure they’re safe, clean, stocked, and ready. You'll also review cosmetic conditions, identify damage, and communicate any issues directly to the Tour Quality Manager. This is a physically active, hands-on job for someone who’s mechanically or technically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a structured, checklist-driven environment. You’ll be trained on all processes and work closely with the Tour Quality Manager and your teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Arrival Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections of returning coaches. Review interior and exterior condition, identify missing or damaged items, and note both operational and cosmetic deficiencies. Document findings through video and photos using company-provided recording technologies.
  • Departure Inspections: Prepare each coach for departure to meet client expectations and Encore's premium standards. Responsibilities include:
    • Confirm mechanical startup and operation
    • Verify all exterior lighting meets DOT standards
    • Ensure TVs, audio systems, and other entertainment amenities are functional
    • Confirm HVAC systems are operational and climate-controlled
    • Verify presence of all bedding, linens, and tour-ready supplies
    • Restock all essential items as needed
  • Departmental Support:
Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned, especially as you gain more familiarity with Encore’s operations and as the Quality Department continues to grow and evolve.

  • Real-Time Issue Escalation: Immediately escalate concerns discovered during inspections to the Tour Quality Manager. Coordinate follow-up with service writers or department leads to ensure timely resolution.
  • Video Documentation: Perform detailed walkthroughs of each coach (interior and exterior) using iPads and video recording software for departure documentation.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Interface with Wash Bay, Housekeeping, Laundry, Interior, the Diesel Shop and other Encore teams to resolve issues discovered during inspections.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle inspections, detailing, maintenance, or similar work - but candidates with fewer years will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to perform the responsibilities at this level.
  • Comfortable working around large vehicles, mechanical systems, and powered equipment (e.g., generators, HVAC units).
  • Mechanically or technically inclined with strong observational skills.
  • Confident using AV setups such as Roku, Apple TV, HDMI inputs, and basic sound systems.
  • Comfortable using iPads and mobile apps to document inspections through photos and video.
  • Able to work independently, follow structured checklists, and use good judgment in identifying real issues versus normal wear and tear.

Nice to Have

  • Passion for audio/visual systems or experience with home theater setups.
  • Prior work in auto shops, detailing bays, or fleet inspection environments.
  • Familiarity with tour bus or coach interiors.
  • Experience using Record360 or similar video inspection software.
