The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring all safety policy and procedures are being followed, all products pass Quality Control testing, and Lean Tools and Concepts are deployed and sustained within their areas of responsibility.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
• Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Verification of product quality and adherence to engineering specifications/work instructions.
• Collect and report all Quality metrics using Microsoft forms.
• Communicate all defects found during the QC inspection process to operations team members.
• Layered auditing sign off on critical to quality projects.
• Appropriate use of QC stamps and quality approval.
• Incoming product inspection.
• End of Line product inspection
• Sustain 5S+ Safety standards, and consistently eliminate waste within department.
• Attends meetings and completes safety trainings as required.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Competency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)

• Ability to take coaching well and communicates respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.
• Promote positive teamwork culture
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint
• Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.
• Microchip Studio, Smart System, Pro12Z programmer, IM-pack, SPM Super-Pro for Windows preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Sound organizational skills, managing priorities, and utilizing all available resources to complete duties and tasks within timeframe allotted
• Exposure to moving equipment
• Humidity may exceed 80%

Physical Characteristics

• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 50%
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 10 lbs)
• Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous Quality experience preferred
• Lean Manufacturing on the job experience
