Job summary

sg360° is seeking a Quality Control Technician to analyze customer specifications, validate data files, and compare output against standards. You will log and track non-conformances in our CAPA/NCP system and maintain accuracy across production outputs.

Responsibilities include applying QC protocols, reviewing final products before client delivery, and coordinating with Project Management, Production, and Customer Service to ensure timely, high-quality results. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical data analysis, manipulation and integration experience preferred.
• Understanding of USPS guidelines for letter package formatting is a plus.
• Knowledge of color matching and imposition in digital printing.
• Strong math, and effective communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Support accounts or projects by tracking non-conformance to standard outputs.
• Provide QC protocols to ensure final product meets client specifications; review samples before delivery.
• Maintain competency and stay current with industry changes and QC standards.
• Provide off-hours or weekend support for 24/7 manufacturing as needed.
• Collaborate with PM/Customer Service, Production and other departments to move jobs with high quality and on schedule.

Our company is seeking a Quality Control Technician who is responsible for analyzing the customer’s specifications to compare against data and composition job setup configurations and output. They will validate produced data files, representative proofing output and production output against established standards. They are responsible for maintaining proper logging and comparison to known previous errors raised in our CAPA/NCP corrective action and non-conformance system.

Essential Job Functions

• Support accounts or projects by utilizing departmental resources, evaluating individual project or client needs, as well as tracking and maintaining records of non-conformance to standard outputs.
• Provide a series of quality control protocols to ensure project meets client specifications and instructions. Review quality of final product before release to client, present proof samples for internal review/approval prior to delivery to client for selection and/or approval.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes within industry, as well as follow established company and department QC and SOP standards.
• Provide off hours/weekend support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed.
• Working in a team environment, coordinate with Project Management/Customer Service, Production and other departments to move jobs efficiently through its lifecycle process, at the highest level of quality and accuracy, and on schedule.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Two (2) years' technical data analysis, manipulation and integration experience in the publishing industry, preferred.
• Direct Mail print related experience and basic understanding of USPS guidelines for letter package formatting.
• Understanding of Digital printing specifications for color matching and imposition.
• Mathematical and effective communication skills required: ability to calculate numbers/fractions/decimals in all units of measure, as well as, verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal clients.
• Ability to ensure a high level of customer service to the members/customers is met or exceeded.

Technical Knowledge

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Lync, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver).
• Variable Data Print (VDP) software such as GMC Inspire, Page Flex, XMPie, Xtreme Dialogue, Fusion Pro.
• If-then-else relational logic, scripting, and object-oriented programming languages.
• Hands on quality control systems and ability to discern provided client instruction relating to validation of output.

Travel

Minimal local travel may be required for meetings, trainings, and/or other business purposes
