Job summary

Wilson Connectivity is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing QA team in Utah. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process assemblies and finished goods against BOMs, CAD drawings, SWI, IPC and PSCD standards.

You will read CAD drawings and BOMs, apply AQL sampling, and use calipers, inspection templates, and functional testers. The role requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 months related experience, with training in Dynamics, PLM, ESD and 5S.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and gages.
• Completed basic trainings of Dynamics, PLM system, ESD controls, 5S.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process assemblies and finished goods according to BOM, specs/CAD drawings, SWI, IPC, PSCD standards.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings, BOM, SWI and ECR content; apply PSCD criteria.
• Use QC inspection tools (calipers, templates) and functional testers (power supply, antenna, cable tester).
• Understand and apply Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) sampling.
• Create and validate Quality Orders; issue non-conformances and segregate nonconforming materials/products.
• Coordinate Change Over checks with Production Line Leaders.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) on raw and finished goods.

Position Overview:

• Inspect Incoming materials, in-process assemblies and finish goods in compliance BOM,Specs/CAD drawings, SWI, Internal Quality Standard, IPC,PSCD etc.
• Able to read, interpret & understand CAD drawing/Specification, BOM, SWI, ECR content, PSCD (Product Specific Cosmetic Criteria)
• Knows how to use QC Inspection tools e.g. Calipers, Inspection templates and Functional testers e.g. power supply, antenna, cable tester etc.
• Knowledge & understanding of how to use and interpret AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) Sampling Table.
• Create and validate Quality Order, Non-conformance Issuance, Segregate nonconforming materials/product.
• Perform Change Over Check w/ Production Line Leaders
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) - both Raw and Finish goods

Educations/Certifications/Experiences:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, gages etc.)
• Completed basic trainings of Dynamics, PLM system, ESD controls, 5S

Physical requirements:

Able to constantly move about the facility. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. at any given time. Could be on your feet up to 8 hours a day.
