Job summary

Insight Global in California seeks an Incoming QC Technician to inspect inbound parts and verify compliance with specs before release to production. This role emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and documentation.

Overview

The Incoming QC Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming parts and components to ensure they meet quality standards before being released to production. This role is detail-oriented and focused on ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming parts
• Use inspection tools such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Height gauges
  • (CMM experience is a plus)
• Verify that materials meet quality and engineering requirements
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
• Communicate findings with warehouse and production teams
• Release approved materials back to warehouse for use in production

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Receive incoming parts from warehouse
• Inspect components for defects, accuracy, and quality
• Log and document inspection results in systems
• Work closely with warehouse and production during morning syncs
• Maintain a steady workflow with a strong focus on detail and precision
